Who We Are
The Moore 4 You Community Development Center, known as M4U, stands as a beacon of community support and empowerment. Established in 1998 as a registered 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization in New York State, M4U has been dedicated to serving the diverse needs of families in the NYC and Long Island areas. Our headquarters, situated at 90 Mill Road in Freeport NY 11520, serves as the heart of our operations.
For over two decades, M4U has been a cornerstone in providing essential childcare services. Initially founded to address the growing need for after-school and summer camp programs in Brooklyn, NY, M4U quickly garnered recognition as a leading childcare provider. In 2023, we expanded our reach and impact with the opening of our newest community center in Freeport, Long Island.

At the core of M4U’s mission is the commitment to nurturing the holistic development of every child entrusted to our care. Our signature curriculum, Moore 4 Your Mind & Body (M4Ur M&B), is meticulously designed to support emotional, social, cognitive, and physical growth.

While M4U’s roots are deeply embedded in underserved neighborhoods, our services extend across the economic spectrum.
We believe that every child deserves access to high-quality childcare, irrespective of financial circumstances. To this end, we accept various forms of payment, including private pay, vouchers, and other subsidies, ensuring that our programs remain accessible to all families in need.
Our History
A journey that is deeply rooted in family legacy and passion for community empowerment. Moore 4 You founder Ms. Gail White Moore’s legacy anchors today’s vision, our current director the daughter of Ms. Gail White Moore, Ms. Candist White grew up witnessing her mother’s dedication and perseverance in building the foundation of Moore 4 You.
From a young age, she absorbed invaluable lessons and insights, watching her mother nurture the business and its impact on the community.
Inspired by her mother’s unwavering commitment and the transformative influence of Moore 4 You, Candist embarked on a mission to continue the legacy and propel the business to new heights.
Fueled by a passion for serving families and fostering positive change, she dedicated herself to expanding the reach and scope of Moore 4 You.
Today, Candist stands as a beacon of leadership and innovation, guiding Moore 4 You towards greater success and impact. With a deep-rooted belief in the power of education, community, and inclusivity, she remains committed to enriching the lives of children and families in our community.

Ms. White is our dedicated CEO and Director. Her unwavering commitment to community empowerment and extensive experience in childcare define her leadership at Moore 4 You. With a deep-seated passion for making a difference, Candist’s journey in childcare began long ago. Her hands-on experience and expertise in various childcare roles have equipped her with invaluable insights into the needs of children and families.
M4U Assistant Director
Ms. Cameron is a native New Yorker from East New York, Brooklyn. She is passionate about creating opportunities for the advancement of people in underserved communities and beyond. Ms. Cameron brings a wealth of experience from the for-profit sector into her role as Assistant Director and engages in operations, compliance, and program planning and development.
